PR Gaz intends to put up a sizeable number of stores all across Luzon within a five-year period. As expressed in its new mission and vision statement, the LPG firm has laid out a two-phase approach in achieving the target beginning 2010: set up 300 PR Gaz outlets by 2013, and grow the chain to 500 stores by 2015.

"We are making big plans like this, though there is a global financial crisis, because our product is unique. LPG is a need not a want, there is steady if not constant demand for it, and PR Gaz is different when it comes to service to the customers," said Nelson Par, PR Gaz Holdings Inc. chairman and chief executive officer.

PR Gaz launched its new corporate vision and brand campaign, which reflect the company’s bid to become one of the major players in the local LPG industry, through a series of roll-out events held in the National Capital Region, Cavite, Pangasinan, and Zambales. Employees, store personnel, franchisees and invited suppliers from these provinces and other areas attended the event.

"Our objective is not only to communicate to all our people the new direction we are about to take for PR Gaz, but also unite all of them in achieving these plans and aspirations," explained Siu Ping Par, PR Gaz chief operating officer for franchising.

Each of the four launching events featured a video presentation of the new corporate vision and brand campaign and a marching band displaying the new corporate flags. Employees and franchisees were also given campaign button pins and recited the PR Gaz company pledge.
