PR Gaz recently launched a cooking competition for kids dubbed PR Gaz Bulilit Chef Challenge.

A total of ten kids, with ages ranging from ten to 12 years old, vied for the title of being the first PR Gaz Bulilit Chef champion. The cooking contest was held in Dagupan City and was one of the highlights of the Bangus Festival 2011 celebration in Pangasinan.

Jilyanna Marie Diolazo was declared top winner with her “boneless bangus in mango sauce” entry dish. Best Original Recipe prize went to Jamielle Lois Areola for her “bangus crepe in peanut sauce”, while Daniela Embornal won Best Dish Presentation for her “bangus balls with sweet and sour sauce.”  All contestants were required to use bangus as an ingredient in their entry dishes.  A parent or guardian was also allowed to assist each contestant in preparing the entry dish.

PR Gaz plans to stage the cooking competition in various provinces in the coming months. The PR Gaz Bulilit Chef Challenge aims to discover young culinary talents in the country while promoting the use of LPG as an efficient, economical and environmentally-sound fuel source for cooking.
